Wake Lloire is a sort of cracked gem, a multi-faceted artist who has been broken, and is undergoing reconstruction. They are a parent, a writer, and a whimsical non-binary human who prioritizes community over capitalism.
They have lived a lot of places. Each place has added a layer of delightful complexity to their weirdness. Wake is terribly excited about this next chapter, which feels like the coalescing of all the things. They are a storyteller and a collector of sparkly stuffs. They love macarons (jasmine+mango is their favourite), the blue that happens just before the night falls, and the sound of the wind the backyard poplar leaves.

My name is Wake Lloire and I’m a resident of Lunenburg, NS. You can find me making potions at Rosefinch Mercantile on Mondays, volunteering at the Lunenburg Art Gallery on Tuesdays, playing cribbage on Wednesdays, sitting at a picnic table near the harbour on Thursdays, and likely having some sort of magical adventure on Fridays. On Saturdays and Sundays I parent two wondrous teenagers with my partner.
I’m a writer, storyteller, poet, musician and stand up comedian. I’ve been helping to build communities since I was a kid, and haven’t really stopped. I’m in the midst of a new chapter, and I’m absurdly excited about this one.
Beth Martin

Beth Martin is an artist who believes creativity is less about making beautiful things and more about remembering who we are. She is endlessly curious about the places where art, psychology, storytelling, and a little bit of everyday magic overlap. Whether she's painting at the harbour, filling journals with poetry, or dreaming up whimsical community projects, Beth is always searching for ways to help people feel a little more connected—to themselves, to one another, and to the world around them.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University and a Master of Contemporary Art from Oxford Brookes University in England, but some of her greatest teachers have been life's detours, unexpected conversations, and the courage to begin again. Beth is the author of Unshackled, a poetry collection exploring healing, resilience, and reclaiming one's voice. She loves moonlit walks, tarot cards, old bookstores, 80s music, harbour sunsets, and believes every ordinary day holds the possibility of becoming a story worth telling.

My name is Beth Martin, and I recently found my way home to the beautiful town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. You'll often find me painting on the waterfront, wandering with a camera in hand, swinging beneath the stars behind the gazebo, or tucked away in a café with a notebook full of ideas. I'm an artist, writer, storyteller, and lifelong collector of wonder.
Over the years I've worked across painting, poetry, photography, installation, and community art, but what continues to inspire me most is creating spaces where people feel safe enough to be themselves. I believe creativity isn't reserved for artists—it's something we all carry within us.
