It became the first painting I created after making a promise to myself: to stop censoring my imagination out of fear of how it might be interpreted. To trust my intuition before seeking permission. To create from authenticity rather than approval.
The work is ultimately about integration—the beautiful, uncomfortable process of embracing every part of ourselves, especially the ones we've hidden beneath the armour.
